At the meeting of the Health Tourism Consortium of Markazi Province on Wednesday, October 21, hosted by the University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Jalaei, Director of the International affairs Office of the University, explained the progress of the consortium.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Ashtiani, Vice Chancellor of eduvation, expressed information about the activities of health tourism in the world and its economic effects, and acknowledged that the MARKAZI province has good potentials to participate in this field. Following the meeting, Dr. Jalaei expressed the end of Phase 1 and readiness to implement the second phase and operational performance in the field of health tourism, proposed solutions to grow and promote this issue that the formation of a consortium by creating unity of procedure and respecting the role of the university can be revived. He added that the current situation is a good opportunity to build infrastructure and that corona virus disease should not be used as an excuse to keep projects quiet. Continuing the meeting, Dr. Sadegh, Vice Chancellor of treatment, stated the difficult conditions for dealing with corona and the heavy costs incurred by the university, adding that the current strategic position of the province in the field of health tourism is a place that needs synergy and consolidation. He added that health tourism can play a good role in the economy and financing public and private centers.
