Tuberculosis and Infectious Diseases of children Research Center was established with the aim of expanding education and research and applied research to promote the scientific level and control of tuberculosis and infectious diseases of children and treatment-resistant tuberculosis, achieving the latest findings and innovations and regional and international coordination and cooperation in aforementioned fields also providing advanced methods for applying and using it in    applied research.                                                                       

 The center as part of the research system of the country and in the context of research policies with help of God, has missions in the field of health needs, community health promotion, increasing the amount of applied research, raising the scientific level and enhancing the spirit of research in training and students. In 2010, it has officially begun its research activities on the basis of the verdict issued of the Council for the Development of Universities of Medical Sciences and with the announcement of the respectable Minister.         

The center's name was changed to "Infectious Disease Research center" in June 2015 and on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, obtained a definitive license.
