With the presence of the officials of Arak University of Sciences, the first governmental oral and maxillofacial surgery center was inaugurated in Amir Al-Momenin Hospital in Arak. 

According to Webda Markazi, the Dean of the School of Dentistry of Arak University of Medical Sciences on the sidelines of the ceremony said: This department was put into operation for the first time in the province with the cooperation of the director, vice chancellors for education and treatment of the University of Medical Sciences, the Faculty of Dentistry and Amir Al-Momenin Hospital in Arak.

Dr. Ehsan Momeni added: "Considering that Markazi province and Arak city are located on the east-west and north-south transportation highways of the country and the injured have many accidents and are considered one of the poles of trauma in the country, the existence of such a part felt great. He emphasized: Infections, jaw fractures, pathological lesions and cosmetic surgeries are all within the scope of work of oral and maxillofacial surgeons.
